Requirement for Full Time Position in Orange County

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with 5 years experience in cost estimating, project management, and field construction work for the private sector. Must have strong written and verbal skills. Should be very proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ideal candidate is a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager for a general contractor.

Work involves preparing written reports and estimates for a wide variety of projects (existing and proposed). Candidate will be reviewing document such as; Construction Plans, Construction Contracts, Change Orders, Contract Billings, Soils Reports, Consulting Agreements, Title Report, ALTA surveys, Permits, Development Agreements, Lease Agreements, Sale/Purchase Agreements, Schedules, etc. Detailed and Conceptual estimates will need to be prepared based on the review of the above noted documents. In addition, ability to prepare Property Condition Reports and Reserve estimates is desirable.

Work will mostly involve travel in Southern California, with some occasional travel to other parts of the State and nearby States. About 40% of the time will be traveling and visiting the job sites to evaluate the progress of work and prepare monthly project observation and disbursement reports.

Candidate must have initiative and be a self-starter to work in the fast pace environment of the consulting business. Daily deadlines need to be met.
